How is your bike Em Yeu…?
Because I stayed up late working on the revised schedule for my ex company’s project which seems to be able to start in July this time, it was already 4am when I dozed off in front of my computer, so I slept in late today.
But was woken up by Sherry after a few hours:
So I rushed a bit in getting ready to leave for WG and left home around 10.30am to pass Sherry my spare tubing
By the time I’ve reached, Ahmad and Sherry has already removed her rear wheel and taking out the tyre.
But changing jimove rear tyre is always difficult. So I helped them out but by the time we finished, it was already 12pm.
I have taught Ahmad quite a lot today, as it is his 1st time changing the tyre for Sherry’s bike. But he has to learn, as he will have to help Sherry in maintaining her bike from now on, as I may not always be around to help.
But while I see Sherry watching us change her tyre on the side helplessly, I can’t help but think about you, Em Yeu…
It has been almost half year since I checked or maintain your bike… I really can’t help but worry about you, whether you have help in changing your brakes and tyre…
With my mind full of you, I couldn’t help but bringing you up in front of them unconsciously. But that was when ahmad suddenly told me that he has friends whom have seen you in Bukit batok running orders.
I felt so elated when I heard that. Everyone has avoided mentioning your name in front of me ever since we were separated and betrayed by that asshole….
They have also seen how much I have suffered for the past few months and how hard I had to work to earn the money to pay off my debts that I took for your sake…
But yet, I couldn’t tell you the truth… Not when I want to protect your happiness and support the decision you made when you moved back to Chua Chu Kang…
But don’t worrie Em Yeu, our friends didn’t blame you. Instead, they worry about you as well, so each of them are also waiting to hear your news…
And so did Ahmad, as he was also grateful for our help when he met with the car accident last year. Do you still remember how we went up to his place and help watch over his children when Ayshah has to go to the hospital with him?
So I asked Ahmad for the same help that I asked Yusri – to keep a lookout for you on the road and help you with your bike as I am no longer around…
Em Yeu, please stay safe on the road when you are running orders… I’ll always be here praying for your safety…

But shortly after a couple of orders, I received news from my mother that my sister-in-law Jena is in hospital.
Em Yeu, you still remember my sister-in-law? She came with my brother and niece to westgate a few times before when we are working.
Worried about what happened to her, I check with my younger brother how is she:
So I decided to wrap up for the day, and head home to bath before going over to the hospital with Elsa to check on her.
Luckily, my sister-in-law Jena is doing fine now. According to the doctor, the surgery was a success, but they have to removed a part of her infected small intestine and colon.
So for now, she still need to be kept under observation in case her infection has spread to other parts after the surgery.
My heart aches as my brother told me how hard my 2 cute little nieces has cried when they saw Jena lying in bed unable to move before she was hospitalized.
Suddenly I felt a sense of guilt, as I have been thinking and caring more for Jayden and LinLin and neglected them…
So for now, I can only pray that she can pull through and get back into the arms of my 2 nieces soon.
