20/02 My 1st Completed Project Handover

Today marks the day of my 1st Metis project handover, the landed apartment at Jalan Uji.

It has been a satisfying experience working in this project, as all my past memories doing ID works resurface bit by bit as I designed and planned for every section of the works

Although it has been delayed by more than a month because of Andy’s subsidiary company, overall the client is still satisfied with the work completion

So, time to collect the rest of my commission for this project!

Of course, other than closing this job, I also had some coffee with Zi Xiang.

He has been a humble, willing to learn and responsible guy to work with. It is a pity tho that he is leaving Asta as he is tired and sick of the issues with workers and how he lost money due to lack of support from Andy who is still the boss

Despite I have cut him away from my Gombak camp project due to me not wanting to use his workers anymore, he understand my decision is not personal and justifiable due to the problems his workers created on 2 of my job sites

But I will still feel guilty and bad towards him outside of work…

When I ask him about what are his upcoming plans after leaving Asta, he reassured me that I don’t have to worry about him

Because actually on his side, he has all along been earning through some not-so-legal means like private betting etc

Although I tried to dissuade him the moment I hear that, he explained that because it has all along been something like ‘a family business’, so I didn’t elaborate much

Instead, I brought out another idea came into my mind.

What if I “invest” some earnings onto his side? Since most of the time it is the casino or the dealer that wins

His reply is: “Why not? Just start small lo”
